In this issue of COUCH Capers we cover:
Launching of COUCH Potato Week
COUCH Potato Week will run from 26/7/08 to 3/8/08. It
will be a week of activities all directed towards
raising the awareness for COUCH as well as fundraising.
COUCH Potato Week will be full of potato-style games and
activities, with something for all ages throughout the
week.
Some highlights of the week include:

The Spudtacular Dinner
Dance - 26th July, will
start the week at Hotel Cairns where Mr. & Mrs. Spud
will be crowned for the week!

THE CAIRNS SUN Colouring Competition for the
kids will be judged and a winner announced at the
finale of COUCH Potato Week.

COUCH Potato-a-thon,
refer to the Kids Hype Magazine. Kids can fine
their parents for being COUCH Potatoes with the
chance to win $1000 sporting equipment from Super
Amart for their school and $250 sporting equipment
for themselves if they raise the most money.

On Sunday the 3rd of August, the
COUCH Potato
Olympics will begin! Expect a whole lot of crazy
races and wacky events to mark our very first Potato
Olympics - with events such as the Potato Head
obstacle course, longest potato peel, potato
carving, potato sack races and much more!

To finish off COUCH Potato week will be this
year's annual Cairns Cancer Crusade - a 3 or
5km walk along the Esplanade starting and finishing
at Fogarty Park - with non stop entertainment and
fun for everyone to enjoy.
