COUCH named Citizen of the Year.

COUCH is going from strength to strength and it is
great to receive such support from the community. Not a
week goes by without some fund raising activities being
held by individuals and groups. This is not only
wonderful for COUCH but the awareness it creates by the
community.
Our proposal to create a Complete Cancer Care
Precinct is being considered by the State Government and
we are hoping to receive their analysis of the proposal
soon.
Two major events are coming up on the weekend of
February 22 & 23:
- On Friday 22 February the Australian Football
League NAB Cup Challenge is being
played in Cairns. Teams to be advised Richmond / St
Kilda v Geelong / Melbourne.
- On Saturday 23 February, Cairns District Rugby
League will have pre season NRL game at Barlow Park
between the Toyota NQ Cowboys and the Jetstar Gold
Coast Titans.
Both these organisations have made COUCH their
official charity. We would like to thank both the AFL
and CDRL for their support and would urge the community
to support these events.
